Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport: Agility Unleashed in Monaco

Molsheim transformed their quad-turbocharged W16 behemoth into an apex-hunting hypercar with a 1.9-meter carbon wing, revised transmission ratios, and negative camber geometry.

Short-Ratio Transmission for Street Sprints

While the standard Chiron was engineered for 400+ km/h top-speed runs on Ehra-Lessien straights, the Pur Sport was developed expressly for technical corners like those found around the Monaco Principality. Bugatti engineers shortened the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission gear ratios by 15%, dramatically sharpening in-gear acceleration between 60 and 120 km/h.

Exiting Turn 18 (Rascasse), the Pur Sport catapults forward with 1,600 Nm of torque available from just 2,000 RPM, achieving 0-200 km/h in an astonishing 5.5 seconds.

Chassis Kinematics & Magnesium Aero Wheels

To tackle the uneven road asphalt of Monte Carlo, front springs were stiffened by 65% and rear springs by 33%. The dampers feature revised adaptive valves capable of adjusting within milliseconds to keep all four Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R bespoke compounds pinned to the ground.

Furthermore, optional magnesium wheels with carbon-fiber aero blades extract hot air from the massive carbon-ceramic brakes during intense stops entering Sainte Dévote.
